Eating Until Stuffed

Hello everyone! Last night I came home and explained my food blog to the husband. He has been such a support during my weight loss and maintenence, but I think I scared him a little bit with the whole blogging business. To each his own, I guess!
Moving along to last night's dinner:

Stuffed peppers with a side of cottage chesse.

And up for dessert:

1/4 cup cottage cheese
handful of chopped dates, figs and peanuts

I was so excited for this dessert until I took two bites and realized I was full. I'm realizing how I rush through dinner just to get to dessert and then am too full to enjoy it. More often than I would like to admit, I'd polish it off and just deal with the "too full" feeling. Not last night. I was frustrated with the fact that I couldn't even remember how good the stuffed peppers tasted because I couldn't wait to get to dessert. Ugh. One day at a time, I suppose. Each day is a new day to stop and make the healthiest choices you can.

On a side note, I must admit that it's a new thing for me to be taking food pictures. I feel sort of.....odd. I'm sure I'll get better with time and get over the strangeness of taking pictures of food!
